I enjoy listening to Christian Rap now and then. Lacrae is one of the Christian rappers I listen to. Lacrae was featured in Billy Graham's My Hope America. This is his testimony.

Wednesday night, I was checking the news on my phone while I was on my dinner break at work, when I read about a local woman killed by a drunk drive in Florida. I looked at the picture and realized it was an old friend of my oldest sister, Mary. I said to myself,"Oh my God, that is Liz."
I knew Liz since I was young and Liz worked with my sister and they were roommates for a while. I remember my sister and Liz hanging out. Liz having her seven kids and seeing them grow up through the the year. In the last few years, every time I saw Liz she would ask how my sister was doing and how things were going with Jo Anne and I. She was always sharing with people about her faith in our Lord Jesus. I know I will miss her. I feel sad that she will not get to meet Jo Anne. I think they would have enjoyed a good friendship.
What I know right now, is that Liz was in Florida to see her son compete in a track meet when she was killed. She was walking on Daytona Beach with her family when the drunk driver crashed through the gates and hitting her. Liz dead at the scene.
Here is the news story from 13 WLOS about Liz. She will be missed by those who knew her. My heart goes out to her family and the family of the drunk driver.

On Saturday, my friends, Seth and Joey, joined me on a short hike on the Saluda Mountains Passage of the Palmetto Trail. The Palmetto Trail starts on the coast of South Carolina to the mountains of Upstate South Carolina. The Saluda Mountains Passage section cuts through the Greenville Watershed.
We started at the parking area on Anders Road in Tuxedo, North Carolina. The parking area is about a quarter of a mile from the trail head on the North Carolina side of the stateline on the Old US Highway 25.
Long the tail I saw several rocks piled on top of one another. I will post the coolest rock pile as the Photo of the Week on Friday.
There was not too many flowers along the trail for there was a lot of mushrooms and other fungus. I did get a couple pictures of flowers along the way. I only saw three or four.
We enjoyed the hike and walked another some other tails to hike later on.

This Saturday, I took Rayna for a short walk in the DuPont State Recreational Forest. DuPont State Recreational Forest is located between Hendersonville and Brevard, North Carolina. Today, I walked to Fawn Lake and Camp Summit Airfield.
After walking around Fawn Lake a little, I continued on along Fawn Lake Road and headed on to the old Airfield.
I plan to return to do more hiking around the DuPont State Recreational Forest later this year. I hope to get some good pictures of the waterfalls in the forest.

Today, my mom and I met my brother Tim at the Twin Dragons Grand Buffet in Brevard, North Carolina for lunch. After we had lunch my mom and I drove up US Highway 276 through the Pisgah National Forest to look at the Looking Glass Falls which is right off the side of the road. Looking Glass Falls is one of many waterfalls in Transvania County, North Carolina which is called the Land of Waterfalls. I took these pictures while I was there this afternoon.
One day, I want to get closer to the falls and maybe get a picture from behind the falling water but I was not prepared to do that today.
There are many times in my life, where I have felt like the violin in the song, The Touch of the Master's Hand by Wayne Watson. I guess that is why it is one of my favorite songs to listen too. God has been working on me a lot over my life making me into the masterpiece he wants me to be. I think about the process of becoming the great man of God, he wants me to be, I see the many times I get in the way. I see the many times where other people get in the way of the process too. In reading the Bible, I see where God used the last people on the our list that we would use to do his will. He used a murder and a man who could not speak very will in order to free his people from Egypt. God used one of the biggest persecutors of the church to spread the good news of Jesus, all over the Roman Empire. Rather it is ourselves or someone else that looks like a old beat up violin, maybe before we write the person off as a peice of junk, we should watch the Lord do his work and see the masterpiece he is working on. Our greatest gift in life may come from the Master's Hand.
I had an enjoyable time at the Western North Carolina Air Museum's Annual Air Fair at the Hendersonville Airport on Saturday. I took my friend, Seth, with me since he wanted to hung out a little. The air show was a little smaller then I was expecting by what I heard on the radio but still was a great show. They had a good mix of old planes and cars.

When I stopped at Wal~mart on the way home earlier this week to get a couple things for the home. Creamer for my morning coffee was one of the things I needed to get. I was surprised to see the White Chocolate Raspberry Creamer by International Delight. I have only seem it in the stores around here during the Christmas Season. Needless to say I brought some and have been enjoying my favorite coffee creamer flavor. What is you favorite coffee creamer flavor? What would a flavor you would like to see? I would like to see a chocolate mint flavor creamer.
