Spending time with my Niece!

I am enjoying my day off playing with my niece. Today, I spent time taking a video of her while she plays a piano. I remember when I was at her age, I did the same thing. I think Chloe loves music, I hope and pray she will develop her talent as she grow up and able to use it for God's glory.

Here's the video. I hope you enjoy watching it.

Monday Musings: Love Or Just Stuff

A dozen roses is just a dozen roses.
A box of candy is just a box of candy.
A big stuffed teddy bear is just a big stuffed teddy bear.
Dinner and a movie is just dinner and a movie.
If true love is not the reason for giving them.
Are them signs of love or just stuff?

Still Waiting!!!

Last year at this time, I was running around gathering papers and preparing papers so the lawyer got file the forms for Jo Anne's Visa. I was happy to finally be able to file for Jo Anne's Visa after going through a time on little work or no job at all. Jo Anne and I prayed everyday that I would get a stable job so we could file the paperwork. In December of 2010, I was hired on a regular employee at the warehouse that I had been working as a temp since May of 2010. With the help of the lawyer and is wonder staff the forms were filed on the last day we could file for Jo Anne's Visa without me having to go back to the Philippines. We filed the forms in the first days of March and the waiting game started.

In August of 2011, I had an appointment with Immigration in Charlotte. It was the fastest appointment with the government I ever had. Check in and the fingerprinting took all of ten minutes. Noting like a two hour drive for a ten minute appointment. It was worth every bit of it. I had more time to drive around the city of Charlotte. The Democrats picked a beautiful city for their National Convention later this year.

I have been checking the mail box at the post office everyday waiting for the day the approval letter will be in there. Jo Anne and I pray it will come soon. Once we get the approval from Homeland Security, the next step is the approval from the State Department. We hope the State Department will be a lot faster. We will know when it is near when Jo Anne has her interview at the United States Embassy in Manila. By all accounts we have heard the approval from the State Department comes a week to two weeks after the interview.

As we continue to wait for the approval, I have been busy preparing my house for Jo Anne and trying to save extra money for the trip to get her and to start our lives together. And in this waiting period, I have gotten a couple pay raises and scheduled to get another one in March. We are also starting to plan out my week in the Philippines and wedding plans. After this long period of not being able to do anything but wait, we will be very busy with a lot of different things. Jo Anne and I keep our faith and know God will provide all that we need.

Waiting Patiently!!!

Sometimes to wait is the hardest thing to do for everyone. Daniel and I have been through a lot of waiting in our relationship but we are thankful because God is the one who gives us patience and He mold us to have a deeper faith in Him. It's been three years now that I've been apart to my Love, the first time we met is way back February 13, 2009 and I can say that is one of the most memorable and happiest moment in my life. We only spent 17 days together, but every single minute that we've been together is special for us and we cherish and treasure those moment. We hate to say goodbye but he needs to go back in US. The sad thing is, he lost his job when he got back from his vacation here in the Philippines and for that reason we cannot start working on my papers to be with him. We need to wait until such time he got a good job and he becomes permanent on the company he is working right now. After two years of waiting, we thank God that we able to start the processing and now we are still waiting for the approval letter coming from the Homeland Security and we keep our faith that God will answer our prayers and hoping that everything will goes smooth and quick for us through the last step that we need to take for the processing. From the very start of our relationship, we commit everything to God and we are rest assured that He is working in our lives in ways we cannot see, but, we feel His presence working on us. God's timing is always perfect! Daniel and I keep praying, although sometimes we feel lonely and sad because of missing each other but still we never give up instead we keep our faith and we pray persistently.
To all our friends and readers, please include us in your prayers. Long distance relationship is really hard but God made it easy for us because of His love that bind us together. We have a strong foundation because of God who is on the center of our relationship. Thank you for all your prayers and we will keep you updated about us. God bless everyone!!!

"But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does." James 1:6-7

"Patient is not only the ability to wait but also the ability to display the right attitude."
