While things are getting back to normal now. I got my car back last Thursday and got a cell phone yesterday. I hope that this is the end of problems with both for a long while.
Last Thursday, I got my car back from the transmission shop. That cost me $1065. The had one problem to figure out and take care of after getting the car back. The transmission guys told me that everything check out good with the transmission but he did notice some hesitation during his test drive, but it went away when the car warmed up. I notice the hesitating too. Friday, I did stop at the auto parts store and had them check the car on the code reader since my check engine light came on. The mass air flow sensor was giving out a code. I got some cleaner in hopes that would enough. While you guessed it, the cleaner was not enough. The car stalled on me a couple times going to work Friday and Saturday. Sunday morning before church I stopped back at the auto parts store and got a mass air flow sensor and put it on the car in the parking lot. Another job on the car where it took longer to get to the part then to replace it. The mass air flow sensor cost me $137 to get. I am glad I could replace it on my own. In times like this we need to save money ant way we can.
After, what I feel is the run around by Verizon and the Postal Service, a friend from church gave me a one of the old phones the company he works for is not using any more. They just got new phones for the company. The best best I could figure out is that someone stole the phone that Verizon sent me. I was told by the manager at the Verizon store if I did not send my old phone back within 45 days that Verizon would charge me for the phone even if I did not receive it. Gee, thanks Verizon, I feel that you value my business. I got the phone my friend gave me activated and the old one is in the mail on its way to Verizon's service center. I guess I will have to wait to see if Verizon still charges me for the phone. I am not to happy with them right now and the only reason I am still with them is they have the best signal in the area I travel. I will see what they do next. If them still charge me for the phone after I return my old one, when Jo Anne gets here and I need to add her to my plan I will be taking my business and money to another cell phone company.
I am glad that God has provided me with the money I need and good friends to help me when I need a little help. God has always come through for me.

Last night, I got one of those calls you do not want to get at the work, my mom was in a car accident. Fortunately, my mom is okay. She is a little bruised where the seat-belt was around her. It would have been a lot worse if she was not wearing the seat-belt.
My mom run off the road and then over corrected when she tried to get back on the road. She ended up hitting a tree and totaling the car. She went to the hospital and was checked out. My brother took she to his house last night. She is back at her house now. She is a little sore.
My oldest sister is going to help her this afternoon with dealing with the insurance. I am surprised that the agent for her insurance company does not file the claim any more. The companies, i have done busy with the agent has handle the filling of the claims and that is how I like it. If I find out I had to call a number and deal with someone I do not know to start a claim, I would be dropping that insurance company as my car insurance. That is one of the reason I go through an agent for my car insurance.
I should be getting my car back tomorrow or Friday. I guess I will be taking my mom to work in the mornings now she is without a car. I do not know what she will do for a new car since she can not afford one at this time. I always worry about my mom and things like this accident make me worry even more.
I am glad that she had her cell phone with her and was able to call for help. Having her on my cell phone plan makes me feel more at ease. I still have not received my replacement phone for my cell phone that is messing up. I have been talking with Verizon and the United States Postal Service, trying to find out what happen to it. The post office is saying it was delivered last Wednesday. I guess someone stole it out of my mailbox before I checked it. I will see how Verizon handled it with someone steeling the phone. I am not going to pay for a phone I have not received. I need a cell phone the works for reasons like last night. I am thinking about switching to another cell company. I have stayed with Verizon because that have signal when the other companies do not in the area I travel and up to a year and a half ago, I have had no problems with the phones or customer service.
I hope that things will be back close to normal next week. Please, pray for my mother, that she will heal quickly.

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. ~ Romans 8:28I should be getting my car back sometime in the middle of next week. I have sat down this week and looked over my savings and reworked my budget and I believe I will have enough money to cover the repairs to my car and to cover my bills. One of my coworkers is giving me ride to and from work and my mom is letting use her car of the weekend.
I have received the battery and back for the replacement phone Verizon sent me. I should get the phone tomorrow. At this point, I am thinking of saving up the money to get a military grade cell phone. I am tired of things going wrong with my cell phones. I even heard people tell me about problem with their smart phones. If I am having problems with the basic phone that has all the features I need why would I want to buy a phone that cost more and have more features then I need and have the same problems.
When I get my car back and my cell phone working again, I pain to take a trip down to Greenville to do some work for my blogs. If the repair works for my car I guess I could stretch out at least three more years out of my car. In that time, I plan to save up the money for a new car.

While, I was out doing my taking care of a few personal business things before work yesterday, my car broke down. I think it was something with my transmission. I could not get my car to get in gear. I turned my emergency flashers on and got out and put my hood up, and checked a couple things. Then I got back in my car and tried calling for help. That is when I discovered my cell phone was messed up again. After a little fooling around I managed to get a hold of my friend and mentor Keith and my mom. I was surprised when to police officers stopped and helped me get my car off to the side of the road. Police stopping to help is something that has become rare today. When I was young cops would stop to help all the time and now days you see cops just drive right on by without checking to see if things our okay. I would say a little assistants for people with car problems goes a long way to people looking at police in a more positive way. It would would the roads a little safer too. I manage to get a hold of the towing service and have the car taking to the garage. It will be Monday before I know what is wrong with the car.
I more upset with my phone not working when I needed it the most. I have been planning on getting a new car within the year. I guess if the repairs cost too much I will be getting a new car sooner even I planned. I have the money to cover a minor repair and the car is just not worth fixing a major repair. I have transportation to work and other places, while I look and save money for a new car.
Have had a cell phone with Verizon for over ten years. With the problems that I have had with the last couple cell phone and increasingly crappy customer service from Verizon is making think more and more of switching to another carrier. If I did not need the cell phone for thing dealing with Jo Anne, I would just go without a cell phone. When I pay for something I expect it to work and I expect good customer service. The only thing keeping me with Verizon is the signal is the best in the areas where I live and travel. But, if my phone does not work and I have a hard time having a problem taking care of, what good is the good signal. I stopped at the Verizon store this morning to get a new phone and customer service representative put in and a warranty exchange phone. Now I have to wait to get what I guess is going to be a used phone. I am not happy but I can not afford to but a new phone. I miss the days when Verizon had great customer service. I would like to see that level of customer service to come back but I think like good customer service and good phones at Verizon, I will be gone too.
I plan to start looking at new cars this afternoon and then working on making arrangements on Monday to pay for a car I find. I hate to have to go into more debt for a car but at this time I have little choice. I am still hoping to be able to repair the car I have now. Later tonight, I will be closing my online store on eBay until I get the car problem taking care of and have my own car again. I believe in giving my customers the best service possible.

A vision gives you direction, creativity and resilience. Without one, it is easy to become passive, aimless, and vulnerable to quitting. God give us a vision. His desires can become your desires. It is important to have visions; dedicate time and energy to it; and learn how to overcome obstacles as the Lord empowers you.
Do you remember Joseph? As a young boy God put a dream in his heart. He was born to rule. When he told his brothers, they got jealous. But that didn't change God's plan for him, not did it steal the vision from Joseph's heart. His life was full of setbacks, but at the end of the day, he ruled the world, and was second only to Pharaoh in a critical time of mankind's history. God used him to provide food for people in time of famine. God also used him to make "his boss" very wealthy.
When you asked God for a vision, you're likely to be placed in a field of opportunities concealed under hectares of obstacles. But don't fret. The vision He puts in your heart will surely come to pass.
"Where there ie no vision, the people perish." Proverbs 29:18
"For the vision will surely come." Habbakuk 2:3

I have notice a lot of people just driving through stop signs lately while I have been driving around. People just seem to pay no attention to the stop signs or they just slow down and drive right on through without stopping more then normal. I am surprised that I have not seen more accidents as I travel around to work and doing my personal stuff. My friend and mentor, Keith, said he even noticed more people running stop signs.
The following picture is of a stop sign, when you the sign like in the picture you need to bring your automobile to a complete stop.
A complete stop means no movement at all. A rolling stop is not a complete stop and is not what a stop sign means. Stop signs are put up for a reason. They are put up for safety and for you to stop and look both ways before proceeding on with your travel. What if another person decides not to stop or does not see you when you drive right on through the stop sign? Plus, I am sure you can afford a new car or get your car repaired if you get into an accident and your car gets damaged. Besides, no one including you surely would not died in an accident caused from your decision not stop at a stop sign.
Please just stop, the next time you come up to a stop sign. The things that could happen when you run a stop sign is not worth the few seconds you save by going through it.
