Christmas Memories!

Merry Christmas everyone! Christmas has always been a special time of year for me. Some have been better then other but the reason for celebrating Christmas is what makes it some special. That is the celebration of the our Savior Jesus the Christ.

I have only had two White Christmases. I can only remember a few of the gifts that I have gotten over the years. The moments I remember are the ones spending time with family and friends reflecting on the birth of Jesus.

I have not put up a Christmas tree in many years including this year. I miss doing it a little. My grandparents and I would add something new to our Christmas tree each year. My grandparents always made sure I had something under the tree to open on Christmas Day.

The things I enjoy the most is going to Christmas parties and church and sing Christmas carols. Silent Night is my favorite. It bring the best childhood memories back.

You can read the Christmas story in Matthew Chapters 1 and 2 and Luke 1:5 - 2:40.

Bad Weather and Car Problems

while it as been two weeks since my the post. I am truly sorry. Last weekend we had a snow storm that I was surprise by the amount of snow we got. Normally, we do not get snow when a storm comes in from Tennessee. Snow comes when the cold air comes from the north and and the moisture comes up from the Gulf of Mexico. We got three inches of snow. I decided not to come over to my friend's house to used his computer due to the risk of black ice on the roads.

I have been without water at my house for over a week due to the cold temperatures. A pipe busted somewhere underground. The maintenance crew have been trying to fix it and the other leaks.

My car battery died on me this week. I feel blessed that I had the money to get a new one. It cost me $100 which was twenty percent more then the last battery the I got three or four years ago. I am making more money but it seems that I am able to get and do less things with the money I bring home.

Okay, now for some good news. Even with the bad weather, I did not miss any days from work. I will be getting a cost of living raise in January. God is blessing me with my job so much. With the new year coming in I am starting to think about ways to bring blessing to others in the new year. One of those blessings will be getting my Love, Jo Anne here to the United States form the Philippines. The immigration lawyer is suppose to call me Monday morning. I am hoping things will move quickly for us now that I have a stable job.

I hope everyone has a great week.

I Got The Job

While it is official, I am a permanent worker at work starting Monday night. Tuesday night one of the Human Resources guys came to me and handed me the packet of paperwork that I had been waiting for the pass month. I filled out the paperwork and took the drug test on Wednesday. Friday, I came to work early to do the final hiring processing. It feels good to have a more secure job now. Especially, a job that I like going too.

I hope this is the last time for awhile, I have to go through the hiring process. It seems to take longer and longer each time. I thought we have computers now that made it faster. I guess not.

Now that I have a good job, I can focus on the process of get Jo Anne to the United States. I will be calling a lawyer this week to help with her immigration. I am also hoping to go back to the Philippines in October of 2011. I hope to have something setup by that time so Jo Anne can join me on the way back.

I also hope to use the extra money from my job to get a new computer and a couple other things for my house that I have been putting off getting. I need to get myself some new clothes too. The last time I got myself some new clothes was when I visited Jo Anne in the Philippines back in February of 2009. The pass two years have been hard being apart from Jo Anne but God has been preparing us and putting us in the right places.

Now along with getting Jo Anne here I hope to start preparing things for the ministry I hope to start. The goal of the ministry will be to improve the lives of the people in the Philippines. Teaching they life skills while helping with their spiritual and physical needs. This is just one way I hope to Bless other people with the blessings that I have received form God.
