The Heart of Worship

“Give yourself to God, as those who have been brought from death to life, and surrender your whole being to Him to be used for righteous purposes.” Romans 6:13

The heart of worship is surrender; this is what Rick Warren says on his book, The Purpose Driven Life. As people, sometimes it is hard for us to surrender because it implies losing or a defeat and no one wants to be a loser.

True worship brings God pleasure and it will happen when you give yourself completely to God. Ninety five percent is not enough, God wants our whole being, the 100% of our life and not only a part of it. We can't say that we surrender to God if we are still living in fear, pride and confusion. These are the three barriers that block our total surrender to God. To totally surrender to God we must trust Him, admit our limitations and allow Him to control our lives.

For the past week, i have been into a lot of stress and it come to a point that I am almost living with fear and worry. But God speak to me through His message at the church that inspires me and encourage me to continue my journey and surrender my life fully to Him. Life without Christ is nothing. Let us all come back to the heart of worship, and it is all about Jesus.

Thank you, my Love, for the message! I am still amazed how just a little true worship of our God just melts the fear and stress away even when we do not completely feel like praising him. A true Heart of Worship helps us focus on the greatness of our Heavenly Father and how much he loves us.
