Nice Surprise!

Friday, I got a nice surprise when I deposited my paycheck in the bank. Unemployment deposited some back pay that was own to me that I did not know about. It was good news and it will help with money I need to save up to get Jo Anne here. I love when God provides such great surprises.

This week, I will be meeting with one of the ministers at my church to see about resources the church may have to help me. Maybe he can help us find someone to sponsor Jo Anne for her visa to the United States. I am sure things will move quickly for us as soon as we find someone. All my life, I have seen God provide the right people or resources at the right time. It often seems to be the last possible moment when he does it to me but I have come to trust that God will provide.

Okay, back to the surprise money. Twice this past month, I have schedule to work overtime on Saturday only to see it canceled on the Friday before. The deposit did make up for the overtime that was canceled and I still met my savings goal for September. I need to sit down and plan out my budget for October now. I have talked to two of my friends that have some short-term projects coming up that they may have me help them with. I also am looking at getting a second job which all the money from it would go to build up my savings for emergencies and Jo Anne's papers.

I pray that I will have more blessings to share with your very soon. I continue yo trust God to provide for all my needs.

Thank God For Overtime!

I was not able to do a post last Sunday due to my friend being out of town. I borrow his computer until I an able to get my own. I have been working a lot the past two weeks. I have worked nine hour shifts both weeks and this coming week will be nine hour shifts too. I hope working Saturday like not be canceled this week if at is posted like the last two weeks. I am glad Jo Anne was able to post a couple times.

I am tired but I am glad that I am getting overtime and not a boot out the door due to lack of work. Besides, I am trying to save up the money to get Jo Anne here and a new computer. I almost feel like I will never get the money but I did it before and I will do it again. With God's help of course. I thank God everyday for my job and pray for wisdom to use the money in a way that honors him.

I have been trying a new way to do my monthly budget this month and at seems to be working better for me. What I have done this month is do a full month budget to make sure I get all my bill and other expenses covered for the month, then I break it down by paycheck. I also decided to start each budget month with the paycheck after my rent is due. Now when I get my paycheck I just go down the list for that check and have everything taking care of.

I hope everyone has a blessed time until my next post.

One of my passions is looking around different kind of flowers. I feel very relax and rested having a beautiful flowers that surrounds me. There is much kind of flowers that we all knew but one of them caught my attention most and it is Everlasting.

As the name implies, it means forever. These flowers come from a member of the compositae family and can survive indefinitely when dried. It make great romantic gifts, along with the symbolism of the flower itself, you can express the desire to forever keep your relationship strong and beautiful.

Like the everlasting flower, we knew that God’s love will last for all time and His faithfulness is eternal. Sometimes in our lives, we feel that God’s love is changing and His presence is far away from us but we didn’t realize it’s us who keep distant from Him. His love is constant and He always wants the best for us. When suffering comes our way, we usually blame Him for what is going on in our lives but it is just the result of being disobedient to His will. We need to admit that sometimes we are all hard headed, we pray for His will but we always do what we want. God is faithful even though we are unfaithful, His love never change though our love for Him change. Let’s all be like an everlasting flower that will last for a lifetime. We should desire to keep our relationship to the Lord strong and beautiful because Jesus Christ will be the same yesterday, and today and forever.
"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today and forever." Hebrews 13:8

"O Lord, I will always sing of your constant love; I will proclaim your faithfulness forever. I know that your love will last for all time, that your faithfulness is as permanent as the sky. You said, I have made a covenant with the man I chose; I have promised my servant David, A descendant of yours will always be king; I will preserve your dynasty forever. The heaven sing of the wonderful things you do; the holy ones sing of your faithfulness, Lord. No one in heaven is like you, Lord; none of the heavenly beings is your equal. You are feared in the council of the holy ones; they all stand in awe of you. Lord God Almighty, none is as mighty as you; in all things you are faithful, O Lord." Psalm 89:1-8

Carry your Cross

Is your cross too heavy for you? Are you feeling tired carrying it?
The real attitude of people is to complain when they carry heavy loads. I want to share this video to give encouragement to everyone of us. God is faithful to His promises, no matter how big the cross we bear let’s always remember we have Him to give us strength and we will able to carry it through Him. The cross we have is a bridge towards a successful life.

"Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain." 1 Corinthians 15:58

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learned from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." Matthew 11:28-30

If your cross is too heavy, call upon the Lord and you will find rest. Carry your cross with faith in God, for His plan is greater than yours and He knows what is best for you. God is preparing us to have a wonderful life in the future, the hardship we experience mold us to become strong.

Fun Saturday!

This last week was a busy week and the coming week looks like it will be just as busy. I worked nine hour days on Thursday and Friday, get off from work at 1:30 AM in the morning. Saturday morning, finally got to sleep at 3 AM after getting off of work. I got up a little after 9 AM and talked with Jo Anne. After we did our daily prayer time, I got Rayna in the car and heading out to pick my friend Seth for a day of fun.

We drove up to the Blue Ridge Parkway. I know of a nice swim hole up there, that I like to go swimming at when I can. Boy, the water was cold and Rayna did not like it one bit. This was the first and the last chance this summer that I could take her swimming. Maybe next summer, I will have more time to do it. After about a hour of playing around in the water, we head back to the car and went to Brevard, North Carolina.

After eating a late lunch at the Twin Dragons China Buffet, Seth and I looked around the stores in Brevard. In one of the store, I found and ended up buying some National Geographic Magazines from the 1920s, 30s, and 40s. I think they will make a great addition to my library. As a little side note, I am looking forward to the treasures I find at the Friends of the Library Book Sale over the next three weekends. I will have to make another trip out to Brevard to buy some more books that I saw. Brevard has a very lovely downtown that is very pleasant to walk and shop.

I had to cancel my plans for the road trip on Labor Day. While at least, postpone the trip for a later time. At midnight last night, one of my mom's friends called and we had to take her dog to the Emergency Animal Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina. I used the money I planned to use on the trip to help her out. The dog is better now and after spending the day at the hospital was able to come home. We believe she was bit by a spider. Since mom has off Labor Day, I may just take her out and look around in the stores.

This week, I will be working nine hour days and Saturday. I get my forty hours and some overtime and maybe holiday pay for the coming week. not sure if temps get holiday pay where I work so I am not courting on it until I see it on my paycheck. There is a good chance of getting overtime over the next several weeks due to a upcoming project the company is working on. I hope it is enough money to get my own computer. Then, I can start post more and better post.
