Bible Verse Of The Day

I did not have a chance to post last week, but I am glad Jo Anne posted something. My friend and I were helping I friend move out of a garage he was renting for his business. That is just one of many changes that have happen and are happening for me and the people in my life.

Here is the last few weeks I have slowly working on getting my house fully moved into. I have just a little more stuff in my storage. It will be interesting not to have to pay the storage rent after about ten years. Now I need to work on getting a few new things for the house. This week at work they have been training me on loading the truck. Them maybe moving me from packing over to the truck. I would prefer staying in packing, but I just happy to have a job. The job is making the biggest change in my life possible. I hope over the next few months to have things moving on getting Jo Anne here to the United States. Yes, marriage maybe the biggest change in someones life. I am so excited.

As for my mom, she has gotten some new furniture for her house. One of her neighbors have moved out and another one is moving out in a couple days. Then the house across from her apartment that has been empty since mom moved into her place had a family move in this month.

My friend who lets me use his computer so I can check e-mail and make these post is getting more calls for his business. I hope it continues to improve for him.

I am looking forward to some of the changes that are going and not to some of the others. Good or bad changes, I will adjust to them. I know that God has a reason for letting the changes happen. Changes are a part of life and is what makes life interesting. Life would be so boring without changes.

God's Grace in times of Suffering

As what Daniel had shared last week, I have been in trouble because of my health condition. I feel sad when I got the result and found out that I had an infection that needs to be treated for 6 months by taking medications. I most likely got it from my work where I was exposed to different people when we go on a field. For the past week, I feel so depressed but God talked with me through His message on our worship service at church this morning. The Pastor talked about Paul's Vision and His thorn. Even Apostle Paul was given a physical ailment and asked the Lord to take it away but God replied "My grace is all you need, for my power is greatest when you are weak." These verse makes me strong for I know God is there to lift me up everytime i feel weak. God has a reason and purpose why things happened and He will not let anyone be tempted beyond what we can bear.

But to keep me from being puffed up with pride because of the many wonderful things I saw, I was given a painful physical ailment, which acts as Satan's messenger to beat me and keep me from being proud. Three times I prayed to the Lord about this and asked him to take it away. But his answer was: "My grace is all you need, for my power is greatest when you are weak." I am most happy, then, to be proud of my weaknesses, in order to feel the protection of Christ's power over me. I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and difficulties for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Corinthians 12:7-10

God has blessed me with a loving family who are always there to support me and care for me. I thank God for having Daniel, my loving fiance who never leave me but instead love me faithfully and unconditionally. Things will be a little hard for me until I can cope up with my sickness, but I will not give up working on the ministry God wants me to do. My life belongs to God and I will used it for His glory.

Relying On God's Provisions

This past week, I have been thanking God for all he provides for me. This week I had to take my car to the garage due to a crack in the radiator. I was a little upset over it at first, but after I thought it over I relied that God provided me with the money and a ride to work. I do not like relying on people when it comes to rides to places I need to be. I hate waiting on people and like to be places on time. I got the radiator fixed and the thing it cost less then what I was planning on it to cost. Plus, the mechanic finished it the same day I took it in, when he told me it would take a week.

Then Jo Anne got test results back from the doctor that surprised her. She is sick and needs to take medication for the next six months to take care of the infection. we hope that the sickness will not have an ill affect on her visa. I hope to start of the paperwork this month. Please pray for her quick recovery.

In all my life, I can see the many times God has provided what I need at the time I need it. I have been focusing on relying of God's provision's a lot in the few years. He has never failed to come through.

A Week Of Blessings!

This was a good week for me. As you can tell from the title of this post, I had several blessings this week.

It started last Sunday with Fourth Of July celebrations. My church had a great morning service. Then Sunday evening, my mom and I went down to Green Six Oaks in Tuxedo, North Carolina and enjoy the food, music, and fireworks. Another great fireworks show this year, it is the best in Western North Carolina. I met up with my old roommate and best friend there, we caught up with wants been going on and plans for the future.

I enjoyed having Monday off, which I spent working on moving things in and organizing them at my house. On Wednesday, the Human Resource person can around the told my that I got a pay raise. Even through it was to start with next week's check, i loved the surprise to see it on this week's check. Then I worked Saturday night, so I got forty hours for next week's check. Do not get holiday pay yet. My friend and mentor helped me Saturday with moving more stuff from my storage to my house. I hope that tomorrow, I can get the rest of the stuff out and moved into my house. If I do, I can avoid having the pay the rent for the storage unit for another month.

In the area of my bills, the only bills that was more that I planned on was my cell phone bill. It was only more by less then a dollar. The other bills were less then planned. Especially, if I can avoid paying rent on my storage unit this month, I hope to use the extra money to get some maintenance done on my car and have money to put aside for getting Jo Anne here.

I hope everyone has a week full of blessings this week. Remember, the best way to enjoy a blessing is the use it to bless others.

Books, Books, and more Books!

This past week, I worked on getting my books out of my storage unit and moved into my house. I knew that I had a lot of book, but don't realize I had a many as I do. I have filled two set of shelves up with books and still have more books. I need to get at least another set of shelves. I guess, I will be looking around yard sales and thrifty stores for shelves.

I also finished reading Legends of the Guardian-King series by Karen Hancock yesterday. I enjoyed all four books in the series. Now I have started reading Piercing The Darkness by Frank Peretti that my brother gave me a couple years ago for my birthday. I read several books at one time. What I mean is, I will read a little of one book then put it down and read from another book. I normally have three to four books that I switch back and forth on reading. I have always read this way and I keep the stories straight.

If you have been following Mountain Highs and Valley Lows for a while you know that I have talked about some of the other books that I have read. From time to time, I will continue to do that. I hope you will read some of the books that I talk about here.

Not having a television at my house yet has made it possible for me to do more reading of late. I hope to get everything moved into my house soon and squared away. I have to get creative on where I storage some of the books I have now at least until I get more shelves.
