”Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.” 1 Peter 4:10
“Maximizing God’s given talent” is our theme last Sunday on our church 93rd year anniversary. Maximize means giving the highest level or to the fullest. Everyone has received different gifts from God, the Bible says at Romans 12:6-8 “We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man’s gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leading, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.”
On one chapter of the book The Purpose Driven Life, it is said each of us was uniquely designed, or “shaped”, to do certain things. God formed every creature with a special area of expertise and each of us has a particular role to play, based on the way we were shaped by God. He planned exactly how he wanted us to serve Him, and He shaped us for those tasks. God made us by His purpose and for His purpose. Let us admit that sometimes we fail to use our gifts for His glory because we didn’t surrender and submit our lives to Him. God deserves the best. He doesn't want us to worry but instead he wants us to focus on the talents/ministry He has given us to use. The best use of our life is to serve God out of our shape and develop it to its fullest potential.
I thank God for the gifts I had and I want to used it for His glory. It is a great blessing for me that I can use my profession in the ministry that God wants me to do. I long on the day that Daniel and I will serve the Lord together through the ministry He will entrust us.
