The staff of Scandinavian Children’s Mission in coordination with Humedica International (group of German doctors), is going out to reach the people affected by Typhoon Ondoy in doing the Medical Mission. The area where the group visited is Marikina, Pasig and Taytay Rizal. Last October 15, 2009, I had a chance to join the group and it’s a great blessing for me to help the other people. We went to Abnay, Taytay Rizal, and there are still some areas submerged in water so we needed to ride an army truck. On our way there, I saw more people who built there temporary house along the road. Some kids played on the dirty water without knowing the bad effect on their health. Most of the people we have seen there are suffering from respiratory problem like cough and colds, fever, fungal infection/athlete’s foot, and diarrhea. The kids are mostly affected by those diseases and I really felt their needs.
