Love, For The Day Is Near

In our world today, we see that lot of people are still walking in darkness. God reminded us in His Commandments To Love one another and to love Him more than anything else. How can we say that we love God if we do not love our neighbors. In our everyday lives, we hear news about people who commit murder, adultery and etc. Is that what we call love? Same thing, how can we say that we truly love God if we still conforming to the pattern of this world. There are people who are still following their the sinful nature.

Dear friends, now is the time to wake up, time to devote, commit and offer our lives to God. God said “The night is nearly over, the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the sinful nature." Romans 13:12-14 ~ NIV

“Love, for the day is near." Let us be a good example to all our friends who are not yet a believers, may we become a light that shines unto them. If we love our neighbor, let us share the word of God to them. We must be prepared, because we do not know when we are going to die. Reflect on God’s word and check your heart’s desire. See if you are following the Lord’s will or still gratifying your own will. Offer your lives to God as a pleasing sacrifice (Romans 12:1-8). Serve Him for the rest of your lives. Friends, one question that we need to ask for ourselves, “Am I ready to die if God calls me today?” Remember this thoughts, “Only one life will soon be past, only what’s done for Christ will last.”

I want to share this song to all of you, a song sung by Don Moen and Claire Cloninger entitled “I Offer My Life”

All that I am, all that I have
I lay them down before You, O Lord
All my regrets, all my acclaim
The joy and the pain
I’m making them Yours.

Lord, I offer my life to You,
Everything I’ve been through,
Use it for Your glory;
Lord, I offer my days to You
Lifting my praise to You
As a pleasing sacrifice,
Lord, I offer You my life.
Things in the past, Things yet unseen,
Wishes and dreams that are yet to come true
All of my hopes, all of my plans,
My heart and my hands,
Are lifted to you.

What can we give, that You have not given,
And what do we have that is not already Yours,
All we possess are these lives we’re living,
And that’s what we give to You, Lord.
